Shanghai ethnic orchestra conductor, Singapore Chinese Orchestra Co-President & Conductor. Professor of National Taiwan University of Arts,NTUA & National Taiwan Normal University, Consultant of Taipei Chinese Orchestra. “ Great Wall Imagine”, “Da Bo River Think”, “Mulan”, Xiaoxiang Water Cloud” and “Wedding” are some of his public performances and records such as “New Tai po”, “The Song of the Six Dinasties”, “The Fog Community 1930”, “Song of the Zou”, “Wish”, “Mountain Music”, “Five marks”, “Taiwan Four Seansons” and “Thinking”. . In this few years, Prof. Qu had made great contributions for Taiwan National Orchestra. |

Huang HeHuang He, a lecturer in Northest University of Music. In 1999, he went to Shanghai Musical College and started to work at 2004. In 2010, he has been graduated from Universita Degli Studi di Udine, Italy as a postgraduate student. He involved in research of a number of important national level classes and published ten pages of thesis in a significant journal. He was awarded with young singers in the 13th CCTV award on March 2006. In July 2010, he won the second place in Italian Bellini International Vocal Competition, attended CCTV appreciation night, won champion in the “Pearl River, Caesal Front” competition for the third times in the category of best advisor.

Prof. Paul De Castro
2007- present, Professor of Music at California State University, Los Angeles. Duties include directing and coordinating the M.M. in Afro Latin Music program and the graduate and undergraduate Piano Performance programs (2003-2013).2003-2007, Associate Professor of Music at California State University, Los Angeles. Duties include directing and coordinating the Masters Degree program in Afro-Latin Music at CSULA. Other duties include Afro Latin student advisement, teaching courses in History and Literature of Afro-Latin Music, Seminar in Afro-Latin Music as well as directing the CSULA Afro-Latin Ensemble and teaching applied piano. August 2015, Judge at the 2015 Huain Cup, International Chinese Music Competition in San Jose, California, USA. Yu Li Qun has been working in dance and management sector since 2001 in over 50 schools in Singapore. Awarded with excellent result in SYF Dance Competition. 1987 : Represented Beijing Sports University in Beijing Dance Competition and awarded with First Runner-Up. 1980 : Represented Hunan Song and Dance Ensemble in first National Dancing Competition and awarded with First Runner-Up. 1993-1998 and 2000 invited to take part in National Day Event |
Yii Ka Hoe
Yii Kah Hoe is an active and renowned Malaysian composer.He was the winner of Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra Forum for Malaysian Composers 2 on March 2007. He was also awarded 3rd Prize of International Composition for Chinese Orchestra organized by Singapore Chinese Orchestra on November 2006. His music has been performed in U.S.A, London, Trinidad, Germany, Mexico, Melbourne, Bangkok, Hanoi, Malaysia, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Singapore. He is also the festival director of the 1st Kuala Lumpur Contemporary Music Festival 2009 which will be held in Malaysia. Furthermore, as a keen educator, he is currently holding the post of a senior lecturer at SEGi College, Subang Jaya.

Tew Tiong Key
A famous Malaysian performer, born in Klang, officially joined his first music group when he was 13 years old and won as the first person who play the song ‘延河畅想曲’ with dulcimer in Malaysia and received a lot of good comments. In 1989, he joined Malaysia Institute of Art (MIA) major in vocal music and minor in violin.
During the study period, he was very active in the school activities and won the National Chinese Music Competition. He was once join in Seremban Chung Hwa Chorus Association and the Malaysia Orchestra and have been performed in Singapore, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Malaysia. In 1997, he was invited to be the chorus conductor in China-Mongolia Exchange and accompaniment in China-Shanghai Erhu solo concert. In the same year, he won the first prize in ‘Kiwanis Music Festival’ organized by Canada after he joined the Dun Huang Chamber Group. After return to Malaysia, he participated in various vocal activities show and assigned as lecturer in Malaysia Institute of Art (MIA). |
Gnai Yoke Boon
In year 1992 and 1995, he has been performed in Taiwan and China tour and won prize in Piano and Chinese Orchestra Competition. He joined Shanghai Conservatory of Music in piano and folk music. In the same year, he was invited to collaborate with Penang Chinese Orchestra and perform the song ‘Youth Piano Concerto’. He was graduated with his bachelor degree from Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 2002.
After returning to his homebound, he work as a lecturer in Hammerklavier College performed piano duet with the title of ‘Hwang He’ with Mrs 鲍以灵,the famous pianist. He was invited to become the judge for International Musical Instruments Solo Competition in 2014. |
Sun Yu RongSun Yu Rong, a famous Erhu performer, educator, and first-class actor in China. Graduated with Master of Arts and Doctor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature in Graduate School of Zhejiang University. A member of Chinese Musicians’ Association, Executive director of China Erhu’s Association, Executive director of China Huqin’s Specialty Committee, expert committee member in Gaohu of China Nationalities Orchestra Society, President of Zhejiang bowstring Specialty Committee, President of Zhejiang Erhu Specialty Committee, Professor and academic adviser of Zhejiang University and Singapore Raffles Music college.
Sun Yu Rong has engaged in art for forty years, actively staying on the act stage, and he has been frequently invited to events such as concert and art lecture in Arts Institutes of Southeast Asia and all around the world. He has been awarded with gold award of Korea International Arts Festival as well as Celebrity Awards in Korea, China and Japan. In addition, Sun frequently achieve excellent results in domestic professional competition. He held his Huqin Solo Concert in 1999. In the same year, Sun’s Erhu Solo has been selected as official commercial video for 《新中国文化艺术50年》by Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China. The video has been translated into 20 types of languages and has been sent to 200 countries and areas to illustrate the achievement and development of New Chinese Culture and Art over half century. Over the years, Sun recorded and published numerous albums in China, Singapore, Korea and Hong Kong as well as composed and published abundant of arts tutorials. Besides, Sun has trained many Erhu’s experts by committing to Erhu’s professional teaching. Sun has been frequently invited to perform for international and domestic politicians for 20 years. Moreover, Sun often gain positive feedbacks and favorable comments when he was invited to make a cameo appearance in various concerts. During off-work hours, Sun used to write dozens of theses and randomly publish on arts publications at home and aboard. Furthermore, his biography has been widely incorporated in many broad-scale professional dictionaries. |
